This multi-specialty Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit has a great reputation in the Central Valley for high-quality patient outcomes and a breadth of services offered. The CVICU Nursing Manager will take direct clinical and managerial control of this high-performing 25-bed unit, and you’ll be accountable for keeping the staff and practice on the path to success. Clinical support will be provided by Interventionists who are staffed around the clock. With CRRT, LVAD, ECMO, CATH, and IABP as just a few of the common procedures seen in this unit, it’s no surprise that staff is dedicated at all hours.
Reporting to the Administrative Director of Critical Care Nursing, the Cardiovascular Care Nursing Manager will oversee a large and high-acuity unit. Your talents will join those of an outstanding unit as you collaborate across disciplines and departments to ensure that patient care is front and center. Supported by two CVRN Charge Nurses, the CVICU Manager will provide vision, leadership, and mentorship to a strong staff of 70+ Cardiovascular Care Registered Nurses (CVRN), CCRN Critical Care Nurses, Post Anesthesia RNs, and support staff by focusing on the continuum of care and optimizing patient flow.
The Cardiovascular Nursing Manager will play a crucial role in the clinical and administrative operations of the CVICU Critical Care Unit. In collaboration with inpatient financial analysts, you’ll develop and maintain the unit’s annual budget. The Nursing Manager will also take oversight of achieving and maintaining target staffing levels to ensure patient care and safety, as well as staying current on compliance standards for a number of regulatory agencies.
