Job Description: Top-Tier West Coast Environmental Remediation Consulting firm actively seeks Field Environmental Geologist to join our thriving Clovis, CA office. The successful Field Environmental Geologist will spend much of their time in the field conducting various types of environmental fieldwork including: collecting soil, groundwater and soil vapor samples; supervise drilling and remediation work; abandoning wells; O&M; installing soil vapor and groundwater monitoring wells, etc. Geologist will be assigned a company truck and gas card. Field Environmental Geologist Qualifications: - BS/MS in Geology, Environmental Science or closely related field - 2+ years environmental remediation industry experience - Must have onsite field experience - Computer skills, particularly MS Word, Adobe and Excel - Excellent Report writing skills - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - Excellent communication skills, ability to read, write and speak English proficiently - Must maintain a valid drivers license at all times. Field Environmental Geologist Responsibilities: As an Field Environmental Geologist Professional you are required to perform duties related to conducting Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and regulatory compliance services. Using prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of assignments. Spends majority of time in out on site in the field. Assists in the collection and analysis of environmental data. Applies standard environmental practices and techniques in specific situations, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies in results and follow operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes. May perform other (office or field) studies/duties assigned by more senior level professional staff members. Assists in compiling the scope of work for both routine and complex field investigations; measure and sample physical and non-physical properties of soil from a geotechnical, geological, or environmental standpoint. May direct the work of technicians or drilling crew as necessary.
